I won't actually be visiting or revisiting the park until Tuesday, but I went through hell getting to the Episcopal Conference Center Oakhurst (ECCO) for one of the Yosemite visits sponsored by Road Scholar. This is my first one in the program, but it won't be my last. I am looking at doing more hiking-oriented ones next year like Yellowstone/Grand Teton.
However, I would be very hard pressed to ever again use Greyhound. I have gone two days without any real sleep because both buses that I took were late. I won't go into any details right now, but I would be very reluctant to use them again.
I am just glad I made it here.
We did have an orientation tonight. I am practically the youngest person there, which made me feel good for a change. Most were married couples, and most were from the eastern part of the United States. Several of them were from North Carolina, for some reason.
