Why She Has No Shot

I don't think she has much of a shot, but Kamala Harris has announced her plans to run for president in 2020.

There were always a lot of rumors about her and California political figure Willie Brown, and I don't think she needs those to follow her everywhere she goes.  He was and still is married.  She was said to be one of his girlfriends and was promoted to two state boards back in the 1990s, opening herself and Brown to charges of favoritism.

It's a shame because she has a lot going for her otherwise.

I don't know what possessed her to announce given the relationship being fatal to any presidential bid.  Hillary Clinton was pilloried over lies (yet she handily won the popular vote).  Harris would be destroyed because of stories that are true.

And no, it doesn't matter that Brown and his wife had separated years before.  He was and remains technically a married man.  Furthermore, the article is just a tad dishonest because it overlooks Brown appointing her to two commissions which happened years earlier, when the two were still involved.
