Southern Oregon Wildfires

It has been scary these past few days living in the region.  Today there is little to no wind in the Rogue Valley, so the valley is full of smoke.

My niece, who has gone through a lot in the past year with deaths and a kidney transplant, thought she lost her home in Phoenix, Oregon, but her mobile home was one of just 13 still standing, unharmed, in her mobile home park.  I don't know if she will be allowed to continue living there or whether she will have to move.  At least she has all her possessions.  Many people were not as lucky.

My brother and sister-in-law also live in the same town, more on the backgrounds on a house with acreage.  Their house was untouched.

CBS report from this morning:

My perspective from the past couple of days:

When I can get a chance to go to the towns of Talent and Phoenix, still largely cut off from people, I will post images and video of the devastation.
