 I almost feel sorry for anybody who is still working for Donald Trump.  The operative word is "almost."  Reports have it Trump is even more unhinged than normal upon news he was impeached a SECOND time.


And all of this was completely predictable given his personality disorder or mental illness or illnesses.

After last week's insurrection attempt, Trump is now trying to act as if nothing out of the ordinary happened. What is the big deal if some looters swarmed through the Capitol? As he has always done, Trump relies on lies, denials, conspiracy theories and fake bravado to skirt through life and through his presidency. But rhetoric and actions are observable truth. And Trump's clear incitement of insurrection means he is a traitor. It means he disavowed the will of the people and the rule of law. It means his personal gain is more important than the Constitution and his oath of office.

This all makes sense because Donald Trump is a psychopath. He is fueled by his narcissism, his sadism, his paranoia and his antisocial proclivities. We have been eager to ignore these things, but Trump's sadism and violence have been front and center in his psyche the entire time. This is the man who separated young children from their families at the border. This is the man whose inaction has killed 372,000 Americans due to the coronavirus. This is the man who has tried to encourage violence multiple times at his campaign and presidential pep rallies. And this is the man who glorified violence in Charlottesville and in other cities. 










And his followers are just like him or aspire to be just like him. They follow him no matter what he does.

It sounds like a few of the seditious Republicans were acting more than docents when showing some terrorists the layout of the Capitol.

The House Democratic Whip is charging that sitting lawmakers gave inside help to MAGA mob rioters – as a group of Democratic lawmakers is demanding to know how rioters appeared to gain 'unusually detailed knowledge' of the Capitol they ransacked.    

Rep. James C. Clyburn of South Carolina is pointing to rioters who located his own unmarked office, as well as 'tours' that several Democrats say GOP lawmakers provided in advance of the January 6 riot. 

'Well, it seems to me that something was going on – some coordination was going on between sitting members of Congress and some of these called visitors to the Capitol,' Clyburn said. 

A group of House Democrats, led by Rep. Mikie Sherrill (N.J.), have written Capitol Police demanding the identities of people who toured Capitol facilities the day before the riot – along with any information on the members who brought them there. Sherrill is a former Navy helicopter pilot who ultimately helped rally support for the first Trump impeachment.

Obituary:  Entertainer Siegfried Fischbacher, noted for his act with Roy Horn, who died last year, himself died of pancreatic cancer yesterday.  He was 81.  Their act, which included the big cats, was a big draw in Las Vegas.


Fischbacher met Roy Horn (1944–2020) while the two were teenagers working aboard a cruise ship. An aspiring magician since childhood, Fischbacher was performing for the ship’s passengers when he asked Horn – a big cat aficionado – to assist. Their two talents came together to form the big-cats-and-magic spectacle that would become the most popular show in Las Vegas for more than 10 years. Beginning to perform in Vegas in 1967, they worked their way up to great renown despite an early perception that they’d fail.
