You can read this entire thread and get a taste of what went down last Wednesday, and who the main architects of the insurrection were. Several members of Congress need to be prosecuted:

If it weren't for this plot, there would be no impeachment debate today:
Rep. Jim McGovern (D): "We are debating this historic measure at an actual crime scene and we wouldn't be here if it weren't for POTUS ... the signal [of Trump's speech last Wednesday] was unmistakable: these thugs should stage a coup so Donald Trump could hang on to power." pic.twitter.com/WpcucZmOmS

I guess manliness is next to godliness, and I guess having Trump fears his manliness is threatened.
Typical malignant narcissist.
The House has passed the article of impeachment, House Resolution 24, this afternoon. Ten Republicans joined all the Democrats in voting for the resolution. I suspect many who voted "nay" would have voted for it but for fear of death threats.
The vote was 232 to 197, with 4 GOPers not voting. That not voting may include the vacant Louisiana seat which became so after the representative-elect became sick with COVID and died.
If you REALLY have ambition, here is the C-SPAN coverage of today's vote:
