The Biden administration policies pandering to cross dressing men are nothing short of a disaster for women and girls.  It is especially bad for incarcerated women.

Obituary:  Actress Jean Hale, 82, died of natural causes on August 3.  She played many roles on television and in film.  In my life, her most notable appearance was in the immortal turkey, The Oscar, where she played the studio-arranged date of Frankie Fane, played by Stephen Boyd.  In one notable scene, Boyd dumps a giant bowl of green goddess salad in her lap.

Snip:

Hale got her break into acting when she was seen walking down the street in New York City by Sandra Dee’s (1942–2005) agent. She was offered a Hollywood contract, and she made her acting debut in the 1963 movie “Violent Midnight.” Hale went on to appear in movies including “Taggart” (1964), “The Oscar” (1966), and “St. Valentine’s Day Massacre” (1967). In the spy comedy “In Like Flint” (1967), she played an evil operative of the Fabulous Face, which tried to brainwash women into overthrowing men. Hale made many TV appearances, including her “Batman” role: She played Polly, the hatcheck-girl henchwoman of villain the Mad Hatter. Her other TV spots include “Hawaii Five-O,” “McHale’s Navy,” and “Hogan’s Heroes.” Hale was married to Dabney Coleman for 23 years before their 1984 divorce. She co-founded the production company Coleman-Tanasescu Entertainment.

The ivory-billed woodpecker is now officially declared extinct after years of fruitless searches.

A leading figure in the hunt for the ivory-billed woodpecker said it was premature to call off the effort, after millions of dollars spent on searches and habitat preservation efforts.

“Little is gained and much is lost” with an extinction declaration, said Cornell University bird biologist John Fitzpatrick, lead author of a 2005 study that claimed the woodpecker had been rediscovered in eastern Arkansas.

“A bird this iconic, and this representative of the major old-growth forests of the southeast, keeping it on the list of endangered species keeps attention on it, keeps states thinking about managing habitat on the off chance it still exists,” he said.

The International Union for Conservation of Nature, a Switzerland-based group that tracks extinctions globally, is not putting the ivory-billed woodpecker into its extinction column because it’s possible the birds still exist in Cuba, said the group’s Craig Hilton-Taylor.
