Senator Kyrsten Sinema re-registering as an independent is actually less than it appears. It isn't a blow to Biden--she wants to be re-elected to the Senate and will likely continue to work with Democrats.
After all, Angus King and Bernie Sanders are also independents and caucus with the Democrats.
