Castle Crags State Park

This visit to Castle Crags State Park in California near Dunsmuir was offered through Medford Parks and Recreation. A total of eight people, three women and five men (the men including the driver/guide and a photographer for the parks department), went on a visit there and did some easy hikes.

One of them was at the Vista Point Trail which offers great views of the crags and of Mt. Shasta.

Since the trail we were scheduled to hike was closed for logging, we opted for the shadier River Trail paralleling the Sacramento River:


This spring has drinkable water
