Some Thursday Reads

Thanks to proposed budget cuts at the Medford, Oregon school district, some 200 students walked out of classes today.

These budget cuts will result in some elective courses being cut and most notably remove the role of librarians for all of the high schools in the district.

“It's crazy to even talk about a school not having a librarian,” said the protest organizer Brendan Boone. “That's incredibly essential and incredibly important to so many people.”

As a response to this the students held their protest where they marched to the corner of Crater Lake Avenue and McAndrews before heading to the MSD district office.

Arizona has now officially repealed the 1864 abortion ban in the state; however, the restrictive law that existed is still on the books unless or until the voters in the state repeal it.
