Unfortunately, Millions of Women Still Support the GOP

I would like to think this article is true, but there are millions upon millions of women who will still blindly support the Republican Party.  It all has to do with abortion and their feeling abortion is a threat to their very self-worth.  This "self-worth" translates into women's inferiority.  They aren't good for anything except being fucked, popping kids out, and being a domestic servant.  The 1950s bullshit dies very, very hard in this society, and fundamentalist religious sects buttress the sex stereotypes as it keeps white men in charge.

Furthermore, the Democratic Party has been held hostage by the likes of the queer theory crowd, with their embrace of porn, prostitution, and transgenderism, and despite the sneers from many on the so-called "left," they are every bit as sexist as the right.  I would argue even worse.

The problem is sexism.  Sexism infects people of all political persuasions.

Women have already demonstrated that they will vote in large numbers to rid the judiciary of members who fail to take sexual violence seriously. In June, 62 percent of voters in Santa Clara County voted to recall Judge Aaron Persky. Persky sentenced Stanford swimmer Brock Turner to just six months in jail after a jury convicted Turner of three felonies for sexually assaulting an unconscious woman behind a dumpster at a frat party. Women across the country reacted with visceral outrage to this injustice. In fact, Christine Blasey Ford reportedly told a friend in 2016 that Persky’s sentence of Turner, a privileged athlete like Kavanaugh, had prompted her to disclose her own assault to him. Although there were no exit polls, polling in advance of the recall reflected a gender gap big enough to drive a recall through.

The federal bench is not set up for populist movements like the recall. But there are avenues. Kavanaugh, like Persky, can be unbenched. Women are simply not going to accept this monumentally unfit man remaining on the Court regardless of what the Republicans manage to ram through this week. Sooner or later, as Chicago newspaperman Finley Peter Dunne predicted, the Supreme Court follows the election returns.

"Her Truth"

I am so sick of this bullshit of people twisting the English language and saying THE truth is instead a matter of a subjective outlook.  There isn't a "his truth" and "her truth."  There is only THE truth.

Apparently this is some kind of Oprahism here.  It makes me enraged when people misuse the language.

Anyway, Senator Jeff Flake, living up to his last name, was all over the place regarding the Brat hearings.  He voted to have the confirmation approved in the Judiciary Committee yesterday, but then, after being confronted by a couple of women in the elevator, pushed to have an FBI investigation.

This is what happened to Flake:

In the morning it emerged that former president George W Bush has been advocating for Kavanaugh with wobbling senators, including Flake, in recent days. Kavanaugh was a former top aide in Bush’s White House.

It seemed to have worked. At 9.25am, Flake announced that he would vote to confirm Kavanaugh, virtually guaranteeing that the nomination would advance to the full Senate. Without evidence to corroborate Ford’s story, he explained, “our system of justice affords a presumption of innocence”.

Five minutes later, Flake faced the consequences of his decision. On his way to the Senate judiciary committee, he stepped into a lift, only for two survivors of sexual assault to stop the door sliding shut. Ana Maria Archila, 39, warned him: “What you are doing is allowing someone who actually violated a woman to sit on the supreme court.”

Maria Gallagher, 23, tearfully challenged the Arizona senator: “I was sexually assaulted and nobody believed me. I didn’t tell anyone, and you’re telling all women that they don’t matter, that they should just stay quiet because if they tell you what happened to them you are going to ignore them.”

Trapped in the lift, Flake switched between looking at the women and looking at the floor for nearly two minutes. Gallagher pleaded with him to look her in the eye. “Don’t look away from me,” she said. This visceral moment, captured by TV cameras, appears to have gone some way to pricking Flake’s conscience.

On a somewhat related note, the prep school atmosphere of spoiled brat rich kids provided fodder for drinking and gang rape.

Today's Hearing

Here is a video to the Kavanaugh hearing, which is still going on:

If you want to watch the replay of the Ford part of the hearing, I am using this video from The Majority Report:

Ford was very, very credible. It was hard for the GOP to pick her apart; in fact, they really couldn't.

Brat needs to withdraw. I haven't seen his testimony, but I have heard he didn't do himself any favors.

More about that here.

The Majority Report's Kavanaugh hearing video:

Brat's crocodile tear testimony is like watching a train wreck.

Kavanaugh is In Deep, Deep Shit

He is tarnished no matter happens to him.  The latest accuser is Julie Swetnick, and she, like the other two accusers, would like to testify regarding Brat and his degenerate friends from college:

Some background on the latest allegations:

Swetnick, who attended Gaithersburg High School in Maryland, says she attended "well over ten" parties where Kavanaugh was present.

She says she witnessed Kavanaugh "drink excessively and engage in highly inappropriate conduct, including being overly aggressive with girls and not taking "No" for an answer. "This conduct included the fondling and grabbing girls without their consent," the sworn statement says.

In the sworn statement, she also alleges that Kavanaugh engaged "in abusive and physically aggressive behavior towards girls, including pressing girls against him without their consent, 'grinding' against girls and attempting to remove or shift girls' clothing to expose private body parts."

Swetnick says that in 1981 and 1982, she became aware of efforts by Judge, Kavanaugh and others to "spike the punch at house parties" so as to "cause girls to lose their inhibitions and their ability to say 'No.'"

She said at some parties boys lined up by a bedroom to assault incapacitated girls. Swetnick claims that the boys in the lineup included Kavanaugh and Judge, but does not say that they assaulted the girls, or the names of other witnesses who could corroborate it.

Meanwhile, first accuser Christine Ford has a lot of support from women who went to the same high school she attended at the time she was assaulted and nearly raped and implicates Kavanaugh and Judge as at least knowing about it.

One of many places you can read the Swetnick affidavit is here.

The Brat and Ashley Interview

Here is the interview everybody is talking about:

This is unprecedented for USSC nominees.  Brat knows he is in deep, deep shit.  This Federalist Society hack will be remembered in the same breath as Alex Kelly, Brock Turner, and Bill Cosby.

Kavanaugh suffers from the same disease as the other rapists--affluenza.
