certified and certifiable Clinton-hater like Dick Morris declares Obama to be the nominee, you KNOW the jig's up.

Since Hillary Clinton

has absolutely no intention of listening to Dick Morris and drop out of the race, he is now in panic mode:

Clintons are trying to steal the nomination from Barack Obama - and he can't let them.

The Clintons' campaign attacks put Obama in a bind.

If he doesn't answer in kind, he's toast.

Obama's toast no matter what happens. Of course that's why Morris wants him to win the nomination.

I Happen

to agree with Toesucker Dick here about tonight's caucuses. Obama "needs" to win the largest plurality of delegates to be considered the anti-Hillary, but even if he is in first place, which I doubt, it wouldn't be far ahead of Edwards.

Edwards really doesn't need Iowa as much; he came in second last time and stayed clear through Super Tuesday.

In honesty, any candidate who gets 15 percent of the vote is viable, and the so-called three frontrunners will stick it out for the time being.

Richardson probably will hang in until at least Nevada, a state where he has a halfway decent organization.

I'd like to see Biden make it, but I don't think he will.

Dodd will probably be gone by tonight or the NH primary.

Toesucker Dick

makes a good point or two or one about Hillary Clinton.

At first, his appearances were novel and politically helpful. But then they came to underscore her weakness. It was as if Dennis Thatcher had stood up for Maggie as she faced down the Argentine junta in the Falklands war. Now, Bill's oversized presence on the national stage raises an even more profound question: Is he using his wife's candidacy to seek a third term in office, prohibited him by the 22nd Amendment?

Increasingly, he seems like former Gov. George Wallace - who put his wife Lurleen into the Alabama State House after he was forced from office by term limits. (Or, in a more recent example, like Argentine President Nestor Kirchner, who stepped aside only to have his wife, Christina Fernandez Kirchner, take power.)

Morris is repeating my talking points about the conflict of interest involved here.

toe-sucker Dick is right about CNN not actually helping Clinton's chances in Iowa.

I still believe, despite the shit piled on Edwards last night, he will win the state. The media have always been his worst enemy.

Well, no kidding Carville is in the tank for the Clintons. He's hoping to weasel his way back into the White House, just like Sidney Blumenthal.

Which of course will never happen.
