Gloria Steinem underestimates the GOP ticket at her own peril:

But here is even better news: It won't work. This isn't the first time a boss has picked an unqualified woman just because she agrees with him and opposes everything most other women want and need. Feminism has never been about getting a job for one woman. It's about making life more fair for women everywhere. It's not about a piece of the existing pie; there are too many of us for that. It's about baking a new pie.

However, women aren't going to flock to Obama. This pick has less to do with that, however, than to shore up his support among the religious right.

Moreover, Obama is little better with regard to women's issues.

Obama's campaign has been caught in the act of lying about the NAFTA controversy.

This isn't good news, but the campaign is trying to spin it.

Paul Krugman may be a bit premature in believing Obama will be the Democratic nominee, but if Obama is, expect a concerted attempt by the GOP to wreck him in the fall.

One of the chief problems with Obama, as Krugman mentions in his column, is he has never faced serious Republican opposition.

it would be nice if you acknowledge there are other candidates besides Clinton and Obama, but endorsing Clinton is much better than that GOP stooge.

Since Neither One

has a prayer in hell of being elected, and probably not even nominated, it's stupid to speculate about "swift-boating."

Hillary Clinton will be sunk by the obvious conflict-of-interest, assuming she even won the Democratic nomination.
