Travolta

Unfortunately, the autopsy results haven't been made public in the death of Jett Travolta, but a funeral home director said the teen had suffered from a "seizure disorder."

Naturally more speculation is going to abound because the authorities refuse to make the results public, claiming "there was nothing criminal about the situation," according to the article.

And more:

Glenn Campbell, the assistant director of a local funeral home, said that the body was in “great condition” with no sign of head trauma. He said that the death certificate, based on the post-mortem examination, gave the cause of death as “seizure.”

Travolta [Updated]

Speculation continues to abound about whether the Travoltas' Scientology beliefs had anything to do with their son's death.

We will know soon enough once the autopsy results are made public. For all we know, Jett could have simply slipped and fallen in the tub, hitting his head. Until we know definitively, speculation is rather pointless.

Here is a video clip that has been making the rounds of the internet:

I admit while watching this that nobody leads a 16-year-old by the hand unless he had some serious cognitive problem. Having worked with a couple of autistics, it would seem he was one.

Miscellaneous

The death of John Travolta's son Jett gets curiouser and curiouser. There will be an autopsy performed.

The explanation of the causes of the child's health problems is bizarre, to say the least. Scientology is nothing but a crackpot cult.

As I was surfing the internet this afternoon after a nice time with my niece visiting antique shops around southern Oregon, I came across this article about psychiatry critic Thomas Szasz, which I found interesting.

Szasz, one of these libertarian types, founded an organization back in 1969 which has Scientology support, though Szasz himself isn't a member of the cult: the Citizens Commission on Human Rights.
