I thought I'd post this song from that all-time great turkey, Mame, which showed to all the world Lucille Ball was not just a sight for sore eyes in this flick but for sore ears, too:
Not that Ball ever could sing, but years of smoking lowered her voice to a baritone. Co-star Bea Arthur sang in an even deeper voice. Mame was one of the few musicals in movie history where the women sang in deeper voices than the men.
Tomorrow night I am heading out of here by bus to Oregon for a week or so. There is supposed to be snow on Christmas day.

For Fun
here is a YouTube of the great Carole Lombard "singing" with Fred MacMurray accompanying her. Of course he COULD play musical instruments and sing; Carole Lombard couldn't sing her way out of a paper bag if she tried. Husband Clark Gable did better in "Puttin' on the Ritz":
She was almost as bad as Lucille Ball in that timeless turkey, Mame (1974):
Ball at least admitted she couldn't sing:
I don't want to neglect Lee Marvin's classic "I Was Born Under a Wandering Star" from the movie Paint Your Wagon (1969):
