Both Are More Like Boils on the GOP

Mitch can't stand it that he has little control over Marjorie Taylor-Greene and finds her batshittery very unbecoming of the Republican Party.

Yes, she is loony, but it is a matter of picking your poison as which kind of current Republican is worse: the brazen nutjob or the corrupt pol who hamstrings Congress to the point it gets nothing done.

Some details are here.

"Loony lies and conspiracy theories are cancer for the Republican Party and our country," McConnell said in a statement. "Somebody who's suggested that perhaps no airplane hit the Pentagon on 9/11, that horrifying school shootings were pre-staged, and that the Clintons crashed JFK Jr.'s airplane is not living in reality. This has nothing to do with the challenges facing American families or the robust debates on substance that can strengthen our party."

Translation: Shut up, MTG, you are screwing over our chances in 2022.

Democrats are also not happy with Greene's antics and want her removed from a House committee:

Tuesday Sedition Notes

A GOP aide resigned, but he lashed out at the party for enabling the mob last week.

In a scathing resignation letter obtained by POLITICO, Jason Schmid, a longtime senior House Armed Services Committee staffer, slammed the GOP members of the panel who objected to President-elect Joe Biden’s Electoral College win, particularly after a mob incited by Trump stormed the Capitol last Wednesday and left five people dead.

“Anyone who watched those horrible hours unfold should have been galvanized to rebuke these insurrectionists in the strongest terms,” Schmid wrote in a letter addressed to the committee’s top Republican. “Instead, some members whom I believed to be leaders in the defense of the nation chose to put political theater ahead of the defense of the Constitution and the republic.”

It sounds like the worthless Mitch McConnell, rightfully pissed off over his life being endangered thanks to Trump, is trying to play both sides against the middle, or muddle, as it were.

Meanwhile, when you are a Trump cultist, it doesn't matter if your reputation is shot to shit:

House dipshit Jim Jordan of Ohio has been caught in (yet another) lie:

Mike Pence says no to the 25th Amendment, and therefore impeachment will commence in Congress:

No surprise that Trump refuses to take any responsibility for the Capitol Hill insurrection of last week.

Speech:

Even though VP Mike Pence would not invoke the 25th amendment--no doubt because of concern over death threats, which have already been made against him for certifying the EC vote--he is for all intents and purposes done with Donald Trump.

The House did approve the resolution for Pence to invoke he 25th amendment despite the fact Pence won't invoke it.

Mitch McConnell is a Psychopath

not to mention a filthy liar, when he said he was "concerned" "wealthy" Democrats would spend the money on God knows what.  He knows there were income limits on who would get the stimulus money, but as a psychopath, he can't allow the economy get better under Joseph Biden, so he puts the kibosh on something desperately needed.

He is the reason the U.S. Senate is completely broken.  No one person should have the power to block needed legislation.

I ranted about him this morning:

So did Bernie Sanders:

This bastard really needs to be hounded from office.

Mitch McConnell ALWAYS

makes the Democrats look good, even in their less-than-stellar moments. He's one of the worst people in the United States Senate.

The reason the GOP seems not to care about health care reform has less to do about whether they care about the best interests of people but that they don't want Democrats to succeed with ANYTHING. If the Democrats succeed with health care, then this would marginalize the GOP even more in future elections. It's politics first and foremost with them, with their contributors second, and ideology third.

It has nothing to do with "fiscal responsibility."
