It didn't matter to the "birthers" there was irrefutable proof of Obama's U.S. citizenship when the birth announcement was published in the Hawaiian papers back in 1961, but the White House decided to issue a copy of the certificate of live birth of the president anyway.

Enough of this shit.

Look no further than Detroit's Bob Bobb, an Eli Broad goon, who is destroying the city's schools over the objections of parents and teachers.

Last week, layoff notices were sent out to all 5,466 teachers in the Detroit school district. Under a new law signed by Republican governor Rick Snyder, emergency financial managers have dictatorial powers to void collective bargaining agreements, dissolve school boards and other elected bodies, and sell off public assets. Bobb has said he will nullify the labor agreement with teachers next month, enabling him to ignore seniority when choosing which instructors to retain.

Bobb has utterly NO qualifications to run a school system, yet he is allowed unilateral powers.

Time to get rid of this shitbag.

The Birth Certificate Story

It appears according to newspaper clippings of the time, a Mr. and Mrs. Barack Obama became parents of a son on August 4, 1961.


So what in the hell is he hiding? Just release the original document. If there was a marriage, there should be a marriage certificate, and if there is a divorce, there should be one, too.

I ain't entirely convinced.

More About the Mystery of BO

Thanks to some enterprising blogger having posted "Barry Obama's" high school yearbook picture, we know from 1979 he was known as Barry Obama.

So how far back does the "Obama" name go? Does it go back from birth, and the mother decided to name this kid after his dad using the dad's surname, which was rather unusual then, but could have happened? If so, where does "Soetoro" come in? Was he really adopted by his stepdad?

It still doesn’t make sense he would be Obama then Soetoro then Obama again, assuming Obama is on his birth certificate and not Dunham.

What's in a Name? [Updated]

I am one of the few anti-Obama people who really can't get into the birth certificate "controversy." Some are trying to say Obama isn't eligible for the presidency, and some allege coverup because no official birth certificate has been made available.

Michelle Obama, as always in these kinds of stories, added fuel to the fire when she mentioned her husband's mom was a "very young, very single" mother.

Well, no shit. The parents COULDN'T get married, and back in the early 1960s, which was more like the 1950s than the hippie era where young people shacked up and even had kids out of wedlock, it was very unusual for a young woman to keep her baby. If she couldn't marry the dad, she gave the baby up for adoption.

Here is what I wrote on the Capital Hill Forum about this "revelation":

Undoubtedly she was a single parent in every sense of the word. Barack Obama was born out of wedlock. His parents couldn't marry because the dad was already married. I would guess given the times they broke up because of it. The dad probably told the mom the truth. I wonder if Barack Sr. ever financially supported his son. Back then, if a woman became pregnant out of wedlock (and remember, this was the early 1960s, well before it was common for young people to shack up and have kids out of wedlock and keep their babies), she either married the father or gave the baby up for adoption. Abortion was illegal in every state, and few women kept their babies. Ann Dunham was unusual in that she kept her baby. I think much of the birth certificate controversy is overblown. I believe it is very likely Barack Obama's original name is not "Barack Obama" but "Barry Dunham" or something similar. For all we know he may never have legally changed his name to "Barack Obama" or he changed it much later on. It's very possible that on his original birth certificate it says "unknown" where his father's name would be. It was not unheard of at the time.

I think any coverup by Obama is in one or both of these areas.

We can't rely on Obama's "autobiography" because there is so much fiction in it. I really would not be surprised if Barack Obama didn't legally change his name (if he ever did) until much later in life, when he first had political ambitions. That's my take, for what it's worth.

For those who remember, Gary Hart received a little bit of flak over his name when he changed it from "Hartpence" to "Hart."

Update: In any case, not only should Obama produce the original birth certificate, he should be able to produce his parents' marriage certificate and divorce decree. Since he used his stepfather's name, there should be some legal papers (such as adoption papers) to prove Soetoro was his legal name. That is, of course, if he is telling the truth. If he is not, then there is a reason he is not producing those documents.

In any case, releasing these would clear up a lot of rumors and misconceptions, if they are rumors and misconceptions.
