More Campaign Notes.

Let's hope Democrats at least have enough goddamned sense to overlook media hype and actually look at whether candidates can win next fall.

The media are very obvious in which candidates they are promoting; after all, they are getting their marching orders from upstairs. I hope voters will reject it.

Here's more about Plantgate.

Town hall formats need to be genuine, not photo-ops for candidates.

Everybody Does It,

so why should the media pick on poor Hillary?

Campaign Notes.

While we have been told that supposedly "everybody" plants questions in town hall formats, this person says she wasn't the only one who was given questions in advance for Hillary Clinton to answer.

Here is More

about Plantgate.

I honestly don't know why she would even do this. After candidates have been on the road awhile, they KNOW what questions are going to be asked by the audience, and if they don't know the answer, they admit it and say they will get their staff to take the questioner's name and get get the person's email address/phone number, and they will get back with the person with an answer.

It just doesn't make any sense at all.

I Ain't

a betting person, but I think we can stick a fork in Hillary Clinton's Iowa campaign.

The so-called perfect campaign has had some major and minor screw-ups the past couple of weeks, all of which could have been prevented, all of them self-inflicted. I know about the latest Plantgate scandal, where a few people at town hall meetings were provided questions in advance so that Clinton could answer them with ease.

I know having attended her town hall meeting in Reno in April that the questions weren't planted. There were a few which simply were off the wall; the rest were questions Clinton or any other candidate would expect to be asked.

The same is true with John and Elizabeth Edwards' town hall meetings, Michelle Obama's meeting, John McCain's meeting, Joe Biden's Q-and-As, Bill Richardson's, and probably Barack Obama's recent town hall meeting (I wasn't there).

I don't know what the reasoning of the planting was with Hillary's campaign; she certainly didn't need to resort to Bush-style nonsense.
