Just think if a Republican had gone off public financing and dumped money like this. The public would scream he or she was buying the election.

A couple of teachers, including one who taught at the Hawaiian private school Obama attended in the 1970s, remember him:
After so many years and thousands of students, Holbrook can't be completely sure he had Obama in one of his classes, but he remembers him well at school, his grandparents, and that he was one of few black students at the time.
"He started at Punahou in fifth grade," he said. "He liked basketball and was a nice kid and did well. I remember him as being on the reserved side."
Both lifelong teachers in Hawaii, the Holbrooks retired and moved to Carson City in 2001.
"The whole school at Punahou is very proud of him, even those who aren't Democrat," Penny Holbrook said. She did not teach at Punahou, but as the spouse of a faculty member and mom to kids who attended, she had close bonds with the school.

Elizabeth Edwards, a health care advisor to Obama, doesn't think all that much of Obama's health care plan, but she thinks it's a step in the right direction.

If the polls in Ohio and Florida are accurate, Obama will win the presidency. If he can't win both, he's done.
