Charismatic's jockey Chris Antley was commended for saving the life of Charismatic when the horse broke his leg crossing the wire. Unfortunately, Antley couldn't save himself.

Victory Gallop denied Real Quiet a Triple Crown in 1998 in this heartbreaker of a race. It was as close to a dead heat as you can get:
