What a Crock.

Are the Dean people now trying to buy sympathy with the media, or is it the media WANT Dean to prevail so as to make it easier for Bush to get elected next year?

Sometimes I think Bill Press and others simply don't know what the hell they are talking about.

In point of fact, it is Dean who trash talked the other candidates at the beginning, hence the defensiveness of From , Bayh, and other Democrats. He IS a politician who happens to be a physician, not a physician who is NOT a politician. Furthermore, he's a full-time candidate who isn't practicing his regular job now, unlike most of the other candidates. It's the politician in him, not the physician in him, using a cynical campaign, though one could argue Dean is in a nonmedical sense a quack. It is Dean who is "Bush Lite" because he was a moderate to conservative Democrat in Vermont pretending to be a liberal in the campaign in order to get the activists' support. It is Dean who has the phony McCain facade which wasn't apparent when he was governor of Vermont. There is nothing "straight-talking" about somebody who consistently waffles, somebody who consistent lies about other candidates' records (and then apologizes, or maybe doesn't when caught).

Speaking of Bayh, he is such the opposite of Dean he even allowed Dean to take Bayh's wife to formal functions when Dean was governor since Dean's wife was unavailable. (That'll definitely help Dean in the Bible Belt states!)

But what appears to be consistent is the media pushing this man who hasn't a prayer in hell of getting the White House so pundits and reporters can tear him down later.

Press should know better and should be ashamed of himself.
