Masherama. Arnold faces the toughest test of his political career as he weighs clemency for Crips co-founder Stanley "Tookie" Williams, who is scheduled to be executed on December 13.

Williams and Schwarzenegger once crossed paths in 1975, when both were involved in the bodybuilding culture. Williams, whose picture here at age 29 shows he took bodybuilding seriously, remembers Arnold being very impressed with his physique.

Whether Arnold is impressed with Williams' rehabilitation, which appears genuine, remains to be seen.

The last California governor to have commuted a death sentence was Ronald Reagan in 1967.
