volume 1 of my scrapbook/memory book series of Campaign 2008, Reno, Nevada, version completed. I have to admit it is great to have all of those pictures and memorabilia that most people never get a chance of having. As longtime readers know, I made up a memory book of Campaign 2004, but the difference is candidates didn't bother to come to Reno at all during the caucus period (with the exception of Dennis Kucinich, as I recall). I was in Oregon during that time and didn't attend the caucus. The fall campaign was very exciting, as readers will remember, with all of the candidates/spouses coming to Reno and many prominent people also showing up to campaign for the candidates. Quite a deal.
I wish more of the Republican candidates would come to Reno. They don't seem to be taking the Nevada caucuses as seriously as the Democrats. Even the Democrats haven't put as much emphasis on Nevada as on the two early states, Iowa and New Hampshire. Still, though, there have been many good events here, and I have seen all six of the major Democratic candidates in person. I suspect there will be more events featuring the candidates here in Reno.
