I was just checking my phone messages, and I received a message from what seemed like a nice young person from the not-very-nice Obama campaign. This person wanted me to call the campaign and say I would be willing to volunteer for it. Of course I am not going to return the call. I really wish I could volunteer, but I cannot under any circumstances work for a candidate who was selected by the media and corporate elite and shoved down Democratic voters' throats during the primaries. I cannot do it.
I have said over and over I will not vote for McCain, either. He, too, was selected by the media and corporate elite as the GOP's standardbearer. In a way GOP voters were also screwed over and forced to pick him.
I feel like our election system has deteriorated into a third-world style system. Sham elections, sham candidates.
