Supposedly Obama is down to about three finalists for the running mate slot, and of those three Joe Biden is the best choice.
The problem with Biden is his obvious experience and intelligence would easily overshadow Obama and make people question why the ticket wasn't reversed. Biden is one hell of a debater. If the ticket had been reversed, I probably wouldn't hesitate to support it.
The other two just don't add anything to a national ticket. Democrats aren't going to win Virginia or Indiana anyway.
As for McCain, I figure Romney will get the running mate nod, despite his religion.
