Racehorse Wild Again, winner of the very first Breeders' Cup Classic in 1984, was euthanized at the age 28 due to infirmities of old age.
The inaugural classic is remembered for its thrilling stretch run with Wild Again, Slew O' Gold, and Gate Dancer battling it out:
