we have to make do with a third world society because with these massive job losses, companies are abandoning whole sectors, and the millions and millions of people without jobs will have to make do or maybe even have to move to India or China to find "work."

I hate this bullshit from economists whose ideas have caused the federal government and corporate America to rape American workers and consumers over and over again and tell us, it's too bad, so sad, but the jobs are never coming back and we have to retrain for shit that doesn't exist.

We KNOW we have to bring the jobs back to this country since the workers in third world countries cannot buy the products they make. It is Americans who are buying those products.

Silvia, chief economist at Wachovia in Charlotte. “A lot of production either isn’t going to happen at all, or it’s going to happen somewhere other than the United States. There are going to be fewer stores, fewer factories, fewer financial services operations. Firms are making strategic decisions that they don’t want to be in their businesses.”
