Is there any doubt at all dogs are better than people?

Just before 6:30 a.m., a 9-year-old female yellow lab chow mix ran onto the Major Deegan Expressway and was hit by a car at exit 3. That's when another dog, her son, ran to the rescue, right there on the busy highway. The dog wouldn't let anyone near, barking at traffic and police officers, even as they tried to help.
...

When police tried to get to the other dog, that's when the great pooch protector took off.

There was a slow-speed chase, then a high-speed chase. The dog dodged vehicles, changed direction and ran head-on into traffic.

Police backed up the highway, not sure which way the dog was going to break next.

Finally, after about 45-minutes, the dog was given a police escort onto an exit ramp, and traffic flowed again.

Meantime, the injured dog was on her way to help.

Both dogs have been claimed by their owner, who was a dumb shit, no doubt, by not keeping those dogs confined.

Since nothing is going to happen to him anyway, Karl Rove feels it is safe enough to talk with investigators tomorrow regarding the firing of the U.S. attorneys.

I seriously doubt the Obama administration has the stomach to serious pursue this, let alone hold our dictator and Cheney accountable for their wrongdoing.

It's not going to happen.

Two pissed off Yellowstone park employees pissed away their jobs after they were caught pissing around on Old Faithful.

It gives a whole new meaning for the name "Yellowstone."

They couldn't deny it, for they were caught on a webcam:

Two seasonal Yellowstone National Park concession workers have been fired after a live webcam caught them urinating into the Old Faithful geyser.

Park spokesman Al Nash says a 23-year-old man on Tuesday was fined $750 and placed on three years of unsupervised probation for urinating, being off trail in a restricted area and taking items from the area. The man also was banned from Yellowstone for two years.

The second employee's case is pending.
