First, We Kill All the Lawyers

Sound advice given how many scumbags flock to this line of work:

A 6-year-old Grant County boy has been accused of first-degree sexual assault after playing "doctor" with two 5-year-old friends.

Now, a federal lawsuit has been filed against the prosecutor, who attorneys said is trying to force the boy to admit guilt.

The boy's parents had planned to speak with WISC-TV on Monday to discuss the emotional toll the prosecution has taken on their son. But the prosecutor, Grant County District Attorney Lisa Riniker, on Monday morning asked a judge for a gag order in the case and was granted it. The gag order prohibits the boy's parents from talking about the case.

It is a bunch of shit, but as I understand it, minors don't have any fifth amendment rights. After all, the kid accused of "rape" in that bullshit civil case where I am named as a defendant was questioned without a lawyer, and the principal of the middle school (now demoted thanks to sexual misconduct with a subordinate) was told by the police not to tell his parents why he was being investigated. Disgusting.

Of course criminal charges were never filed, but the mother of the kid who lied to her filed a civil claim and will probably get a nice settlement. She's out shopping around for a place out of Nevada to retire. It isn't about her "poor son," it's all about getting enough money to be able to retire from low-paid security guard work. She wouldn't be out shopping around for a place to live either in southern Oregon or northern California with few or no jobs available unless she planned to strike it rich as a result of insurance fraud.
