A bill designed to intimidate women from getting abortions in Virginia became law:

In a statement announcing his signature, Gov. McDonnell said, “As difficult as an abortion decision is, the information provided by ultrasounds, along with other information given by the doctor pursuant to current law and prevailing medical practice, can help the mother make a fully informed decision.”

Despite the Governor’s statements, the ideologically motivated law has nothing whatsoever to do with the health and safety of the patient. It is intended solely to shame and intimidate women and health care professionals and erode access to a legal medical procedure. Additionally, the law will impose hundreds of dollars in additional costs for what is already an expensive procedure.

That's the whole point.

More holes are found in murder defendant Dana Chandler's alibi:

Jeff Bailey, a semi-retired businessman from Denver and San Diego, testified that in August 2002, Chandler approached him in August 2002 in Denver seeking $50,000 to pay an attorney to defend her. Bailey said she told him she was about to be arrested for two slayings.

During the conversation, Chandler told him she didn’t do the slayings and that at the time of the killings, she was traveling in a horseshoe route west from Denver, then north, then back east. Bailey asked her if she had seen anything unusual because there had been TV news reports daily about the large fires.

Chandler said she hadn’t seen anything unusual and hadn’t seen the smoke.

Brenda Schultz, a special agent with the U.S. Forest Service in Durango, Colo., said 2002 was one of the worst years in history for fires in Colorado.

“There were hundreds of fires,” Schultz said. “There were times that it appeared to me that most of the state was on fire.”

She was too busy traveling to Topeka, Kansas, to kill her ex-husband and his fiancee to worry about the fires.

There are few things in the world more certain than this guy will never, ever be allowed to teach in public schools as a regular classroom teacher.  He won his fight to be able to substitute despite his porn background, but given massive teacher unemployment, there is no chance he will secure a K-12 position. And he shouldn't anyway because his background, now known around the world, would be a distraction in the classroom, not to mention he would be extremely vulnerable to false allegations by students and parents.
