I don't mean how she killed her two murder victims but how she managed to alter her appearance so dramatically that she was unrecognizable from her mug shot.
According to the link, she lost a great deal of weight off her 5-foot-11 frame. She couldn't stand the food in jail; it wasn't up to her standards of free range bacon and pork. Not only did she lose weight, but a local makeup artist, who wanted to remain anonymous, gave her a dramatic makeover so that it was obvious to all that yes, Susan Monica really is a woman and not a man in a wig.
She still was crazy and she still got convicted, but at least she didn't look like a reject from Planet of the Apes.
