Roseburg is a red town in the red part of Oregon, which is most of the state outside of the Willamette Valley. The Willamette Valley, which includes Eugene, Salem, and Portland, is where 70 percent of Oregon's people live. This is like California and many other so-called "blue states." The populous areas are in smaller locations while the rednecks live in more rural areas. Roseburg, of course, is no exception to being a redneck town.
But as redneck as Roseburg is, there is NO justification for organizing an embarrassing protest against Obama. It is just tacky and gives the rest of the country--again, with the vast majority of people living in urban areas--the message these protesters value guns more than human lives.
It's a disgrace, and people who read this blog know I am no fan of Obama's.
