Princess Eugenie got married, and her dress was a big hit. So was her scar which is a result of scoliosis surgery she had at age 12. I can relate because I have had it since being diagnosed at age 12 in 1967. I wore a brace a few years then quit wearing it. It improved my posture, and I always try to be aware of it, but I never could afford the surgery. The surgery can have complications, and many people are worse off after having it. It is not a panacea.
The only problems I have had are shortness of breath when I go up steep steps or embankments and if I stand a long time not wearing the proper footwear.
