Obituary:  Singer-songwriter Tony Joe White, 75, best remembered for his "swamp rock" hit "Polk Salad Annie," died yesterday.  He had a big hit with it in 1969, and it was covered by other artists, most notably Elvis Presley, who frankly did it better than White ever did.

The cause of death was a heart attack.

Another obit of recent days was the death of green bean casserole creator Dorcas Reilly.  She came up with the recipe back in the 1950s, when she worked for the Campbell Soup Company, and it became a Thanksgiving staple ever since.

Reilly was 92.

Since few people support Jenner, and a lot of people totally support the Trump administration's recognition of biological sex, like any sane person, hardly any tears were shed when he claimed he was regretting his support for Trump.

"They Died Doing What They Loved."  It looks like the book on deaths in Yosemite will have to be updated to include this story of a pair of young idiots who fell to their deaths.

They were apparently hikers.
