At least with the late Monty Hall, Let's Make a Deal was just a game. Unfortunately, for the millions of politically unsophisticated Bernie Sanders supporters, they think Sanders can actually make good on his empty promises. This time he is trying to court the women's vote by promising "free, universal childcare," a totally impossible proposal. He is trying to shore up his pro-woman credentials by taking attention away from his infamous early seventies writings about women having rape fantasies.
Along those same lines, many observers have called Sanders' interview with Anderson Cooper on 60 Minutes a disaster because he makes a lot of promises he simply can't make good on.
