At least with the late Monty Hall, Let's Make a Deal was just a game.  Unfortunately, for the millions of politically unsophisticated Bernie Sanders supporters, they think Sanders can actually make good on his empty promises.  This time he is trying to court the women's vote by promising "free, universal childcare," a totally impossible proposal. He is trying to shore up his pro-woman credentials by taking attention away from his infamous early seventies writings about women having rape fantasies.

Along those same lines, many observers have called Sanders' interview with Anderson Cooper on 60 Minutes a disaster because he makes a lot of promises he simply can't make good on.

His initials, of course, are B.S., which is his entire campaign in a nutshell.  I would say he knew all along he was being used by the Russians and Trump, and definitely by the Russians as far back as 2016:

John Dean weighs in. It's pretty hard to avoid the obvious, but it has been there since 2016:

I believe it was the Univision Democratic debate back in 2015 that completely and totally soured me on Sanders (the Vatican debacle cemented it), when the clip of his bragging about how great Cuba was under Castro came to light.  There are of course a LOT more damning videos and documents of Sanders.  In any case, I had to ask just WHY he decided to run such a longshot campaign given he could never, ever get elected president?  Is it just ego?  Is it because he despises the Democratic Party so much?  Or is it something else, something more sinister?

We don't need Roger Stone when there is a ratfucker right in the middle of the Democratic presidential primary.

Bernie Sanders is merely a means to an end for the Russians.

The Wonders of Ratf*cking

You would think the GOP would have learned from Watergate all those years ago that what Donald Segretti memorably called "ratfucking" would go into disrepute. Not a chance. Even today there are websites allegedly catering to supporting an alternative to Obama, usually peddling Hillary Clinton for president despite her complete lack of interest in such an idea anymore.

Come to think of it, Obama's campaign and presidency are in and of themselves ratfucking operations.

Campaign Chicanery

You don't have to be a conspiracy theorist to believe something was and is rotten in this campaign season. You can see it all around with rigged caucuses, crossover voting, media manipulation, and the like.

You can also question whether so-called Democratic operatives really are Democrats to begin with. In the linked piece, the writer questions the relationship between Donna Brazile and Karl Rove.

Naturally Rove hasn't gone away writing oped pieces. He is as committed as ever to bringing about one-party rule in this country, even to the point of helping to manipulate the opposing party, which, unlike 1972 and Nixon's boys' antics, is entirely legal.

Along similar lines is this article questioning whether an Obama administration is actually a third Bush term, as if there were ever any question about it.

The University of Chicago connections are all one needs to know about where Obama REALLY stands.

Just think of it: No matter who wins in November, the neocons and Friedmanites will win. The rest of us will be screwed.

It Doesn't Take

a Ph.D. in political science to see the Republicans (with the media) having had everything to do with ratfucking the Democratic presidential contest this primary season; to point out the obvious does NOT make one a Republican shill, as I am among many totally opposed to the idea of supporting McCain.

The danger of having Obama as the nominee, even knowing he can't win squat in the fall, is the damage he will do in downticket races. That's the worry. McCain could well win every single state and Democrats could actually lose their slender majorities in the House and the Senate. THEN we will be really be screwed.

But we will be screwed anyway if Obama actually gets in there and does the bidding of Wall Street and other interests intent on privatizing all kinds of government functions.

I can't believe the whole thing.
