Obituary:  Actor Orson Bean, 91, was struck and killed last night as he was walking.  One car hit him and he fell, then another car struck him, killing him.  His wife was with him at the time.  Both drivers did stop and try to render assistance to Bean, but to no avail.

There are some interesting facts about Orson Bean in the linked obituary, who also appeared on television game shows back in the 1960s including founding a school based on Summerhill and helping to found the Laurel and Hardy fan club called "Sons of the Desert."

The actor was born in Burlington, Vermont under the name Dallas Frederick Burrows. He later picked the stage name Orson Bean. Bean left home at 16 years old after his mother died by suicide. His father, George Burrows, was a founding member of the ACLU.

It is fair to say Bean leaned to the right politically to the point that he was the father-in-law of the late Andrew Breitbart.

Whatever.
