Trump tells Cuomo and in effect New York to shove it when it comes to ventilators.

“I have a feeling that a lot of the numbers that are being said in some areas are just bigger than they’re going to be,” Trump told Fox News’ Sean Hannity on Thursday night. “I don’t believe you need 40,000 or 30,000 ventilators. You know, you go into major hospitals sometimes, they’ll have two ventilators. And now all of a sudden they’re saying can we order 30,000 ventilators?”

He added: “Look, it’s a very bad situation. We haven’t seen anything like it, but the end result is we’ve got to get back to work, and I think we can start by opening up certain parts of the country.”

You can bet your ass if this were Texas or Florida, he would come up with the ventilators.

Trump has blood on his hands.  He does anyway to not have stopped all travel in and out of the country when the first COVID-19 case hit the United States.

The United States has the dubious distinction of being number one in coronavirus cases.  It topped China's reported cases yesterday.

I KNEW that sociopath Charles Koch had to be involved somewhere:

AMERICANS FOR PROSPERITY, the pro-corporate pressure group founded and funded by billionaire industrialist Charles Koch, wants employees to return to work despite desperate pleas from public health officials that people should stay home as much as possible to help contain the spread of the coronavirus.

As states began to order nonessential businesses to shut down last week, AFP released a statement calling for all businesses to remain open.

“Rather than blanket shutdowns, the government should allow businesses to continue to adapt and innovate to produce the goods and services Americans need, while continuing to do everything they can to protect the public health,” said Emily Seidel, chief executive of AFP, in a press release.

Obituary: Historian and columnist Richard Reeves has died at the age of 83.

Reeves was a New York City native who worked as a journalist for much of the 1960s, including several years with The New York Times. He released his first book, on then-President Gerald Ford, in 1975, and four years later began a weekly column that was syndicated for decades. He became a frequent commentator on PBS and even appeared on the “Tonight Show” with Johnny Carson.

As long as Amy Klobuchar's husband removers from COVID-19, I would say she will be Biden's running mate.

It will certainly NOT be Kamala Harris.  She would be destroyed by Trump and company.
