It's Going to Be a Bumpy Ride

It is going to be bad, no question, if Trump gets re-elected in November, most likely through some kind of fraud.  However, if he doesn't, the situation could get even worse.  Democrats need to plan for the possibility Trump may not cede control.

If anybody is more sociopathic and batshit crazy than Donald Trump, it is Roger Stone.  This guy lives in a total parallel universe from the vast majority of us.  His bible is The Prince, his motto is "the end justifies the means."

What can you say about somebody who has a Nixon tattoo on his back other than totally off-his-rocker nuts?

Stone should have spent years in prison, but his buddy Trump commuted his sentence back in July.  Now we have to deal with this lunatic plus fellow lunatic Trump in this election.

During his September 10 appearance on The Alex Jones Show, Stone declared that the only legitimate outcome to the 2020 election would be a Trump victory. He made this assertion on the basis of his entirely unfounded claim that early voting has been marred by widespread voter fraud.

Stone argued that “the ballots in Nevada on election night should be seized by federal marshals and taken from the state” because “they are completely corrupted” and falsely said that “we can prove voter fraud in the absentees right now.” He specifically called for Trump to have absentee ballots seized in Clark County, Nevada, an area that leans Democratic. Stone went on to claim that “the votes from Nevada should not be counted; they are already flooded with illegals” and baselessly suggested that former Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) should be arrested and that Trump should consider nationalizing Nevada’s state police force.

Stone is completely full of shit. Nevada is no longer a red state; its shift from the go-go Reagan years when Republicans controlled almost the entire state apparatus is gone, probably forever, because of the massive influx of out-of-state people who moved there in the 1990s and continuing to the present day. This is gradually happening in the so-called red states as well, as the population shifts from the northeastern and midwestern parts of the country to other regions.

I lived in that state for 26 years and witnessed the shift firsthand. Stone has not.

Trump also has dictatorial designs:

Stone has no business walking the streets. He is completely without any conscience whatsoever.

Back to Trump:  In northern Nevada yesterday, Trump made a big hint he wanted a third term despite the term limits amendment to the Constitution.

President Donald Trump has said he will 'negotiate' a third term in the White House because he's 'entitled' to it.

Trump shared his intent to run for president again in 2024 during a campaign event in Minten, Nevada, on Saturday night.

'52 days from now we're going to win Nevada, and we're gonna win four more years in the White House,' he told a crowd of hundreds of supporters, most of them not wearing masks or socially distancing.

'And then after that, we'll negotiate, right? Because we're probably — based on the way we were treated — we are probably entitled to another four after that.'

I don't think this nutbag is joking.

Speaking of which, he was in Henderson, Nevada, tonight, his first indoor rally since the disastrous Tulsa rally in May.  He decided to flout the social distancing guidelines.
