It was the end of the odd as Ben Roethlisberger's insurance company decided to settle the lawsuit filed by Andrea McNulty, the woman who claimed he sexually assaulted her at a Lake Tahoe hotel back in 2008.

Thanks to gag orders ("confidentiality clauses"), nobody is saying how much money McNulty got, if anything.

In the understatement of the 21st century, Ben R. has some serious problems with self control:

The state of Georgia's monthlong investigation into a rape accusation leveled against Ben Roethlisberger uncovered an allegation by a second woman that the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback forced himself upon her.

The incident allegedly occurred during a party at Roethlisberger's house in central Georgia.

A young woman not interviewed by authorities claims the quarterback pulled his pants down and told her she could "do whatever she wants," according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation report.

A week later, the woman attended another party thrown by Roethlisberger. She claims the 28-year-old quarterback was drunk and forced his hand up her skirt.

He's now said to have violated the NFL's "conduct" policy according to the commissioner.

I doubt Ben R.'s problems with women are going to stop his reckless behavior.

There is an attitude widespread among athletes, politicians, the rich, and so on that believes they are entitled to be assholes.

It looks like Ben Roethlisberger is in trouble again--with a different woman.

Reno attorney Calvin R.X. Dunlap must be licking his chops by now. Recall Ben is being sued by a woman who claimed he assaulted her up at Lake Tahoe a couple of years ago.

Details:

The Milledgeville (Ga.) Police told ESPN a woman reported having been sexually assaulted or sexually manipulated by a white male, 6-foot-5, 241 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, but would not confirm that man was Roethlisberger.

Roethlisberger's agent in a statement confirmed the Steelers quarterback was questioned, but no charges have been filed.

"Last night, Ben and his friends met a group of women and everyone mingled together throughout the evening," said Ryan Tollner, Roethlisberger's agent. "We have spoken to law enforcement. Based on information currently available, an allegation was made against Ben, which appeared to be dismissed after a preliminary investigation last night. Obviously, given the prior accusation against Ben, we are skeptical of motive, but we will continue to cooperate with everyone involved."

Evidently she's been teased all her life for looking like a boy.

She must have almost no body fat to look like she does. She could be easily mistaken for a guy.

My feeling is Ben Roethlisberger's accuser, Andrea McNulty, can't possibly being "lieing" because there is no such word.

Whatever:

In another e-mail, Andrea McNulty threatened to “date Ben Roethlisberger” if the boyfriend ended their relationship, and said she was “dead serious” about the threat, claiming Roethlisberger was “still in the cards” for her.

“We believe that Ms. McNulty’s own words directly refute the scurrilous allegations made in her complaint,” said David Cornwell, in a statement attached to the e-mails. “Ms. McNulty should abandon her lawsuit immediately and admit that Ben Roethlisberger did not rape her.”

McNulty’s lawyer, Cal Dunlap, could not immediately be reached.

Another NFL jock is mired in scandal:

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been named as a defendant in a lawsuit filed by a woman who claims he sexually assaulted her in Reno.

According to online court records, a defamation lawsuit was filed Friday in Washoe District Court. Andrea McNulty is listed as the plaintiff.

I just found out Unremembered, directed and written by my nephew, Greg Kerr, is an official selection at the New Jersey Film Festival this fall at Rutgers.

It's a pretty good film, but a little bit on the offbeat side.
