Campaign Follies.

So did the corruption by the RBC of the DNC happen much earlier than May? Evidently so.

Campaign Follies.

In this post, we are told the DNC Rules and Bylaws Committee violated sunshine provisions in their charter.

So what else is knew? All kinds of rules were broken in this primary season.

Reba Shimansky is pissed off royal at the treatment of Hillary Clinton to the point she will be backing John McCain:

“I am very angry at the way Hillary has been treated by the Democratic Party during the last three months. When Hillary was winning the majority of the primaries, the superdelegates were flocking to Obama. The Democratic professionals wanted to please Obama more than Hillary because they valued his supporters more than Hillary’s. I have said that I would do anything in my limited capacity to destroy Obama’s candidacy (who I do not like because of his trashing of Bill Clinton and his accomplishments as president) and the best way to do that is to vote for McCain. It is an emotional not rational vote. My loyalty is to Hillary not the Democratic Party.”

I don't think voting for John McCain is the answer. I am just not going to vote for president, period, this time.

Not Only

is Obama the Democrats' version of George W. Bush, but the behavior of the nutroots as I have called these people before Marshall Wittman did has been beyond despicable.

It is impolitic to defend Joe Lieberman, but I did throughout the time he was persecuted by people like Jane Hamsher and Kos simply because he made the dumb decision to support the Iraq War in the wrongheaded belief it benefited Israel. Well, fine good it did to basically railroad him out of the Democratic Party by continually trashing him as a Republican. He's not the only one these morons have trashed. They've gone after former senator Daschle, Senator Reid, Senator Feinstein, and Senator Clinton, to name but a few of their targets. Never mind the fact the resolution didn't actually authorize the United States go to war in Iraq. Let's not talk facts. These rebels without a cause were and are hellbent on being the second coming of the McGovernites and want to purge the party of those who don't adhere to their twisted ideas of what the party should be, and like those warriors of yore, they are being uesd by the GOP to split the party.

Never mind the irony Obama is to the right of Lieberman on some issues, or at least he is willing to pander to the GOP in ways Lieberman was not. Of course Obama's supporters have no clue what the guy even stands for. They follow him because it is the fashionable thing to do.

If Obama somehow becomes the nominee and sends us to almost certain 50-state defeat in November, it'll be good riddance to the nutroots. They will be permanently marginalized to the political fringe.

The Republican Legislature

in Florida is to blame for creating the mess there.

The Rules and Bylaws Committee made a mockery out of the Democratic Party.

This is all over the internet:

At Least

Harold Ickes stands for the right to vote:

I wonder what threats the Obama campaign has made to the DNC. I know there was talk by some nutters, including what's-his-face out of Virginia, about riots in Denver if the Chicago Shitbag doesn't get the nomination, so fear might be motivating some. And I suspect there are other party bigwigs who believe McCain has won this election anyway, and it's time to focus on 2012. If so, this is a huge risk, for McCain may not even run for a second term. Then we are likely stuck with his VP, whoever that is.

Depression Sets in for

the media as Hillary Clinton absolutely refuses to give up the battle for the nomination.

Even with the rigging of today's vote, she refuses to quit. If anything, the voting gave her all the ammo she needs to go right to the convention.

The Rules & Bylaws Committee

decided, under pressure no doubt from the Obamabots, to violate the DNC's own rules by allocating delegates Obama did not earn:

Harold Ickes: I rise in opposition. We find it inexplicable that this body that is supposedly devoted to rules is going to fly in the face of, other than for our Affirmative Action rules, the single most fundamental rule in the delegate selection process, which is fair selection. It is analagous to the 14th Amendment to the Constitution. This motion will hijack, remove 4 delegates won by HC, and most importantly reflect the preferences of 600,000 MI voters. This body of 30 individuals has decided that they're going to substitute their judgment for 600,000 voters. Now that's what I call democracy. There's been a lot of rhetoric about democracy, and on and on and on...I am stunned that we have the gall and the chutzpah to substitute our judgment for 600,000 voters. Was the process flawed? You bet your ass it was flawed. It's hard to find an election in the US that isn't flawed. Did a lot of people not vote? You bet your ass a lot of people didn't vote. Look at the voting stats. This country has one of the lowest participation rates of democracies around the world. That is not an excuse. I've never heard that advanced as an excuse. To overturn elections. To substitute our judgment for the voters....As Don Fowler said eloquently last night, and as more wine was consumed the more eloquent he became, he pointed out that this is in the ....constitution of our party... you cannot take delegates from one candidate and give them to another... not only will this motion hijack 4 delegates from Mrs. Clinton, it will take 56 (?) delegates from uncommitted status which is a recognized status in our constitution and give them to Barack Obama. There's been a lot of talk about party unity. Let's all come together. Wrap our arms around each other. I submit to you, ladies & gentlemen, that hijacking 4 delegates, notwithstanding the flawed aspect of this, is not a good way to start down the path of party unity.... Mrs. Clinton has instructed me to reserve her right to take this to credentials committee.

Clinton isn't going to quit, no matter how much pressure there is for her to drop out.

She should take it to court if need be. The Democrats are committing suicide by nominating this shitbag.

The Disgusting Obama People,

including Florida people, want to screw the voters over with a phony compromise.

Not as well known as Clinton? Are you fucking kidding me? Oprah for God's sake was shilling for him. He was pumped up by the media for months on end. He is at least as well-known as Hillary Clinton.

By the way, he did campaign by running ads in Florida. Hillary did not campaign in Florida, by the way, but she still slaughtered him there in the primary.

How Bush-like are the Obama people.

Campaign Follies.

The Clinton campaign under no circumstances should agree to anything less than 100 percent seating of all of the delegates awarded to her in Michigan and Florida.

Obama's liars argue he didn't campaign in Florida, and, if he had, he would have done better. Unfortunately for the liars and spinners, Clinton didn't campaign there, either, and Obama did run ads in the state.

If things don't go Clinton's way, it should be on to the convention.
_____

Coincidentally, the Obamas resigned from their controversial church.
_____

A Clinton supporter said what everybody but the most delusional believes, and that is the Democratic Party has thrown away a golden opportunity, and for nothing, except help John McCain be the next president.

YouTube is having problems playing the clip all the way through. It worked earlier.
_____

Campaign Follies.

The DNC Rules & Bylaws Committee Meeting is on right now on C-SPAN.

Hillary Clinton better fight this clear to the convention, despite the desire by many party bigwigs to throw the November election to McCain. That's the only explanation for the bizarre behavior by the party with all of the negative information coming out on Obama.

Seat ALL of the delegates, with the proportion being awarded to Clinton consistent with the percentage of the vote won in the two states. In Michigan, the remaining delegates (40 percent) should be uncommitted, and they can vote for whoever they want at the convention.

The voters cannot be disenfranchised or underrepresented at the convention. It will never fly in the general election.
