Miscellaneous Thoughts

I thought about taking Sam to this on Saturday (Tony is probably too "old" to walk in a parade as he is around 13 and his eyesight isn't any good anymore), but I will probably forget about it.

I'll probably get sick with the swine flu eventually, but this advice is still good, I guess.

I haven't received either the H1N1 or the regular flu shot this year so far.
_____

I'd like to see Webber Falls before I hightail it out of here for good.
_____

I'll bet my brother didn't record the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Parade.

H1N1

While everybody in the country is worried they will come down sick with the H1N1 illness, Wal-Mart doesn't seem to mind at all its workers are frequently coming to work ill and thus spreading the illness far and wide.

After all, these workers are afraid they will lose money or even their jobs if they do the right thing. With ten or twenty people lined up to take their jobs, Wal-Mart can afford to treat them like dirt.

H1N1 Flu

There is something more important than the bottom line when it comes to illness, but unfortunately employers just don't care if their sick workers infect everybody else.

You can wash your hands fifty times a day and cover yourself with hand sanitizer, but you still have to breathe the same goddamned air a sick person does.

According to the BBC, there are over 2,500 confirmed U.S. cases of "swine flu."

H1N1 Flu

It is difficult to tell the difference between a real threat posed by "swine flu" or media hype, just as it is difficult to tell whether the hype is motivated by corporate and political factors.

H1N1 Flu

The probable cases of "swine flu" in Oregon has risen to five.

No new Nevada cases, however.

H1N1 Flu

The first case of "swine flu" has been reported in Hong Kong, the namesake of the last influenza pandemic.

Will any Washoe County area schools close?
