News Briefs and Boxers

Once again the job market has fallen into the ditch, which anybody looking for a job can tell you.

Since he is in bed with his Wall Street and neoliberal buddies, Obama won't do a goddamned thing to create jobs, either.

When media darling Jack Kevorkian died last week, his supporters in the fourth estate fell all over themselves praising somebody who was in reality a serial killer, one disturbed s.o.b.  One could actually compare Kevorkian with the British serial killer doctor Harold Shipman.

Remember, most of Kevorkian's patients were NOT terminally ill, but many of them had the audacity to suffer from physical or mental ailments.

I often don't agree with Wesley Smith, but when it comes to disability issues, we are on the same page.

Here are some choice quotes from the good doc, who sounds like Josef Mengele.

More Miscellaneous.

Jack the Jerk had to explain how it is he can run for Congress now when his lawyer pleaded for mercy while Jack was in the Big House because he was on death's door:

When asked about his health, Kevorkian said he had recovered fairly well from ailments he had behind bars. But he later said he is dealing with Hepatitis C, temporal arteritis and high-blood pressure.

Disability activists released a statement Monday criticizing Kevorkian, noting that his lawyer had filed appeals for Kevorkian's release in 2003, 2004 and 2005 claiming he had only a year to live.

"The voters deserve proof that Kevorkian will live long enough to serve out a congressional term," said Stephen Drake of Not Dead Yet, a disability rights group that opposes legalization of euthanasia and assisted suicide.

I love the cynicism of Drake.

Like Ted Bundy

before him, glorified serial killer Jack Kevorkian, a million years old and supposedly "dying," is dabbling in politics. Kevorkian plans to run for Congress on a hate disabled people theme, no doubt.

This run is to the disabled community like a David Duke run is for African Americans or Jews. It is beyond contempt.

Not Dead Yet asks whether Kevorkian, who has been dying for years, will make his medical records public.

Miscellanous.

Jack Kevorkian is a nutcase, pure and simple.

Speaking of nutcases, O.J. got the shit slapped out of him by an L.V. judge.
_____

Convicted Murderer

Jack Kevorkian, who was so near death a year or so ago his attorneys managed to con the parole board into releasing him early, is now on the lecture circuit.

I suppose he will make the case that the criminal justice system allow serial killers like himself get off because they get their kicks out of killing the sick, the old, the disabled, and even the physically healthy but depressed. He claims elsewhere that murderers like him would have never gone to prison if the ninth amendment had been applied the way he thinks it should be applied.

What a lowlife.

There is more here.

Miscellaneous.

If editors are going to write editorials, they need to get the goddamned facts straight, especially when it comes to the so-called "right to die."

A "right," which translated, means the right to kill, for it is almost always the elderly, the ill, and the disabled who are the targets.

Kevorkian is far more than an "eccentric." He's a fucking serial murderer made into a folk hero by people who should know better.

Oh, and Terri Schiavo wasn't "brain dead." Not even her "husband" and his crackpot attorney ever made that claim.

_____

Lies about Jack Kevorkian's victims continue to be promoted by the media.
_____

As the World Turns.

Mike Wallace's defense of serial killer Jack Kevorkian is as embarrassing as those interviews theocrat James Dobson did with Ted Bundy before the latter was executed in January of 1989.

Awful.

This

post has the usual right-to-die nonsense, but the comments are very interesting, including those of Stephen Drake of Not Dead Yet.

This

is a good blog post taking released serial killer Jack Kevorkian to task.

I Certainly Hope

that the disability rights organizations would be allowed to respond to the media lies regarding the Jack Kevorkian case.

The guy is a bigger murderer than Ted Bundy and Gary Ridgway; the only difference is the victims had chronic illnesses, terminal illnesses, disabilities, and, in at least a handful of cases, no physical illnesses at all.

It's disgusting.

The 60 Minutes

interview with glorified serial killer Jack Kevorkian was nothing short of sickening.

Naturally it was totally one-sided.

Expect

60 Minutes to do a fawning interview with paroled murderer Jack Kevorkian this Sunday.

Apparently "journalist" Mike Wallace greeted his old friend with a hug when he left prison.

Not Dead Yet

isn't very happy with a recent AP poll which was favorable to serial killer Jack Kevorkian.

As the World Turns.

Celebrated TB patient Andrew Speaker says he is sorry for causing an international scare, but he insists he was told nobody would be at risk for catching the disease.

The only problem with that is the fact he traveled on international airlines and then returned to Canada and drove back to the U.S. He didn't need to be in Canada at all.

The fact he is a lawyer says it all.
