Though Sarah Palin DID try to sell the plane on eBay, the deal fell through:

In December, barely a week after being inaugurated, Ms. Palin said the plane would be sold on eBay. One serious offer was posted, for a similar price, but the deal fell apart when the state hesitated on the terms and the prospective buyer found another jet, said Dan Spencer, director of administrative services for the Public Safety Department.

She still holds a high regard for her family.

Does anybody remember Obama getting anywhere near this kind of vetting? Of course nobody does because it didn't happen.

Governor Palin survived McCain's thorough vetting process.

Since the rumors of her being considered for the VP slot had been around for a long time, I am sure she had the inside track for being selected.

When it comes to vetting, I wish the same could be said for Obama.

Frank Rich Shills for Obama--Again

Frank Rich tries to explain why it is Obama, who should be way ahead in the polls, is statistically tied with John McCain before the conventions have even taken place.

It's all because the media hasn't vetted John McCain, in this piece of classic projection, and they have allowed the "swiftboating" of Obama to go unabated.

In point of fact the media picked both of our candidates, being as they are in the tank for corporate America and yes, the Republican Party. Obama had already reached his peak back in February, before the Jeremiah Wright story became public knowledge. It has been downhill for him ever since.

If McCain hasn't received the scrutiny he should, it's because he was the media darling.

We had other and better candidates, Frank, but the media made sure we wouldn't have them.

The Problem, Dear Howard,

isn't so much the Obama campaign is shocked the media have turned against him as of late, but the REAL problem is why Obama was NEVER vetted for months on end.

He's floundering, and there is no way he can win in November. Absolutely no way in hell, and people had better be asking why somebody like this was allowed to go so far on so little.

I think we know the answer, that the media are tools for the Republican Party and wanted a truly weak candidate to go up against their darling, John McCain.
