Newt the Coot scoffs at the idea of the early entry of presidential candidates.

In this instance, he's right, but our system is so screwed up over the need to raise big bucks, early campaigns are inevitable.

Senator Biden will be at a fundraiser Monday night, and I think I will probably go to that event and not the presentation at the University of Nevada, Reno, Tuesday night. Although the Monday event costs a bit of money, I don't have to worry about missing class as I would Tuesday night.

If I decide to go to that event on Monday, I will "report" about it here on this blog and post pictures of it as well.

As I wrote earlier, I doubt I am going to go to Wednesday's debate since I won't be able to actually be watching the debate in person but in another room on a widescreen television. Why bother to take time off work to see something that will be televised locally and not be able to meet the candidates face to face?
