This is Why I Haven't Been Doing Much Blogging

as of late:

The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed down 4.24 percent and the S&P 500 fell by 4.66 percent Monday, following stock market plunges in Europe and Asia. The selloff continues a major fall in equity prices as the world enters a period of depression.

Every time I watch or read the news, it's more bad news on the economy front. I don't know if I can stand much more of it.

In my gut I feel this thing can be turned around, but my belief is the biggest enemy to changing the dire situation is our elected officials in Congress. They know what they need to do, but they don't have the will to do it for fear of alienating their wealthy backers.
