Of course atheism is a belief system. It is a belief system based on perverting the purpose of science and turning science into a faith-based belief. Only morons are atheists. I have come to that conclusion. They don't understand one can be religious and support science. It isn't either/or because most religious people are not fundamentalists. They understand science and religion are two completely separate disciplines and therefore are not incompatible. Science explains the "how" while religion explains the "why." Atheists are too arrogant and stupid to understand this.
