Time for women to stop competing with Semenya in order to force him out of competition. Women need to push for the return of chromosome testing in athletics and ditch the phony testosterone levels. The court is absolutely out of its head to allow a cheater to continue to compete. This whole thing raises the question of why so many of these men who are allegedly "intersex" are in women's events like track and field. It seems to me countries actively seek such males out to compete. For many countries, the Olympics especially are badges of prestige and national pride. The real scandal then is the recruiting by countries' athletic organizations of MALES in order to cheat. It can't be a coincidence there are these dubious "women" in these events who are not trans. This is what happens when the chromosome tests were ditched to pander to the trans crowd.  link

Obituary:  Noted New Orleans rock musician Mac Rebennack, known by his stage name of "Dr. John," has reportedly died.  He was 77 years old.

I listened to his music a lot back in the day of the late sixties and early seventies on the FM "progressive rock" station.  His music was much played.
Born in New Orleans, Rebennack was a session musician in the 1950s, playing guitar and bass, later switching to piano after he injured his left ring finger protecting his bandmate, Ronnie Barron, from gunfire.

He grew up surrounded by music. His father’s record store, near Dillard University, carried records by blues, jazz, R&B, gospel and hillbilly artists.

“It was a special time in New Orleans in the ’40s, and I was real blessed,” he told USA TODAY in 2000.

“I grew up hearing all kinds of music, digging on Duke Ellington’s "Creole Love Call" and great old bebop records. The radio stations played basically New Orleans music, and I thought that was what the whole world heard.”
