Stupid is as stupid does:

Richard "Frosty" Frost, a 67-year-old Wisconsin businessman, will lead about 50 people from his hometown of Berlin, Wisc., to Reno this week on a mission to win big money.

Following a tradition of almost a decade, the group plans to start Thursday putting in $15,000 into the Megabucks statewide linked progressive slot game at the Silver Legacy, hoping to win the grand jackpot currently at $10 million.

His group includes about 150 people, who have each ponied up $100 as part of the $15,000 to be played.

"They like the interest, they like the thrill of the idea that $100 might get them $50,000 a piece for a $100 dollar investment," said Frost.

I never did any good on the Megabucks machines. It's Wheel of Fortune for me although I might try the Megabucks machine this week knowing there are idiots from Wisconsin dumb enough to throw 15 grand away.

Is it time to sack the DNC chair?

Doug Wilder seems to think so:

I am an admirer of Tim Kaine, whom I backed in his current position as one of my successors as Virginia governor and even recommended for the vice presidency. But a spate of recent losses in races that Democrats should have won underscores what has been obvious to me for a long time: The chairmanship of the Democratic National Committee is the wrong job for him.

More Politics

The Mouth has decided to step down as DNC chair, saying he is not interested in serving another term.

Campaign Follies.

It is unreal what is happening in the Democratic primaries and now the convention. Rumors abound about Hillary Clinton not being on the first ballot at Denver, despite her having received more popular votes than Obama. And what is this about key parts of the Democratic National Committee being moved to Chicago?

I can't believe the whole damned thing. I really can't, and this is going to have tragic consequences for the party in the fall.

The head of the DNC has to go.

Since Obama's dad basically abandoned him, he thought he was qualified to preach about absent fathers on Father's Day.

Not That

it matters to me, but some bloggers who have state political emphasis are pissed off at the way the DNC has given credentials to or excluded bloggers.

Not that I'd ever get it. I am not an asskisser of anybody.

Speaking of bloggers, they are--not surprisingly--ignoring Clinton.

This

great video is circulating all around the blogosphere. This is about the mess the DNC has created, and it certainly acts like it doesn't support counting ALL of the votes.

Presidential Notes.

The DNC has a giant mess on its hands now that Florida wants to leapfrog over almost every other state in the primary process.

The frontloading of primaries is utterly ridiculous in the first place. Next thing you know, we will have primaries later this year instead of early next year.
