Of Course the Democratic Party Will Eff It Up

 It always does, Jim.  It always does.  And yes, Carville, as I have mentioned before, is right that Democrats took a beating last election in the House because of all this wokeism bullshit, especially that "defund the police" crap spewed by the likes of the moron AOC.  And yes, she IS a blithering moron, Carville's claims about her intellect notwithstanding.

So whatever you think Republicans would do to us in that scenario, that’s exactly what the hell we need to do them.

But of course they won't.  They will keep blathering slogans they heard from their queer theory classes or critical theory classes and alienate the fuck out of the great unwashed masses.  It isn't just the rural whites, either.  It is damned near every sane person in the country.

The GOP is already making hay about it.  Idaho is now moving to ban "critical race theory" from all public schools including colleges and universities.  The state should go much further and remove queer theory, which is infinitely more dangerous, from public institutions.  As bad as CRT may be, QT has as an important component the support of pedophilia, and therefore it falls into not "academic freedom" but outright criminal conduct.

It Isn't Hard to Understand

 why even more people voted for Trump this time around but should have voted for Biden.  It is because of stupid shit like the months and months of BLM protests which simply opened themselves up to ratfucking, and many observers being afraid of the ensuing riots.  To top it off, the utterly STUPID and divisive slogans like "Defund the Police," "Abolish the Police," and "Abolish Prisons," made many of these people spouting or displaying these slogans look like goddamned idiots.

On top of this, AOC, Tlaib, and Omar need to be reined in by Pelosi and other senior members of the House.  They are stupid shits who don't even realize how stupid they are and think they are going to set the world on fire, but they are burning their asses every single time they open their stupid mouths.  AOC is the worst of them, a narcissist who should have been kicked off her perch the day she was sworn in the House in 2019.  She has been an utter embarrassment and only helps the opposition with her stupid mouth.

Both of these factors, plus the pandering to the "identity" or postmodernist crowd, hurt Democrats.  There is no point denying this.

Biden wasn't responsible for any of this bullshit, but he lost votes because of mostly millennial idiots who think they know more than they do.  No matter how sincere their beliefs, their lack of sense hurts not only them, but the Democratic Party.  I was really hoping AOC and Omar would be defeated in their primaries.  They are that damaging.

But she defended the Democrats’ message and tactics, noting that the House remains securely in the party’s hands heading into the next Congress. “We protected the lone firewall in our democracy,” Bustos said, according to sources on the call. “We will be holding a more in-depth political brief once we have more clarity on the final results of this election.”

We have had this nonsense before, dating from the 1960s. However, in some ways it is worse because many of the advocates are steeped in postmodern/queer theory horseshit, which only serve the elites. They aren't really on the left at all.

 

A Mile Wide and an Inch Deep

I am not impressed with the candidates who have so far announced their candidacy for the Democratic Party presidential nomination.

If Joe Biden announces, then I will back him.  The rest of the pack I can take them or leave them.

Unfortunately, it appears Oregon's Jeff Merkley will not run this year.  I would have absolutely jumped in and supported him in any run for president.  However, a few days ago, he nixed such talk.

Long a progressive darling, Mr. Merkley rose to national prominence as the only senator to endorse Senator Bernie Sanders over Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential race. After Mr. Sanders lost, Mr. Merkley saw an opportunity to claim some, if not all, of the Vermont senator’s coveted base of support.

But he would have been far from the only candidate fighting for what’s become known as the “Sanders wing” of the Democratic Party. Senators Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris and Cory Booker have all staked a claim to a share of the liberal base.

“To win these battles we need both strong leadership in the Oval Office and strong leadership in the Senate,” said Mr. Merkley. “I believe that there are Democrats now in the presidential race who are speaking to the importance of tackling the big challenges that we face.”

Of course, there is no "Sanders" wing of the party, just ratfuckers.

Perhaps Merkley could be talked into the VP slot by Biden, should Biden announce as expected.

So Much for a President Warren

It seems she is just a little too acquiescent to the same old Beltway bullshit as the rest of them.

As somebody in the comments noted, she would never have been allowed into the Senate in the first place if the elites thought she was any kind of real threat to them at all.

Bernie Sanders looks better and better all the time, but some commenters thought he was just as politically toothless as Warren.

Face it: Liberalism has been marginalized for the past thirty or so years thanks to neoliberal infiltration.

The Democratic Party Has Been Pissing Off People for a Long Time

One could argue since 1988 with the establishment of the so-called "centrist" Democratic Leadership Council, which arose as a way for Democrats to sell themselves out to get southern and business support.

It started out sincere enough, I guess, to try and help the Democratic Party be a viable national party with the defeat of the Dukakis/Benson ticket, but of course it was the beginning of the end of the real Democratic Party and culminating in an outright fraud in Barack Obama. The DLC didn't really work with getting more Democrats elected in the South though it help with getting Bill Clinton elected president in 1992; however, business/billionaire/Wall Street interests decided it would be fun indeed to pollute both political parties so that they would control both. The more insane of them embraced Friedmanism or neoliberalism or economic "libertarianism" despite the fact this has never caused anything but human misery everywhere it has been tried. We saw the rise to power of the ethically-challenged Robert Rubin, which he has never fully relinquished. It wasn't just Rubin, though. Hell, Bill Clinton was right out there shilling for ruinous trade agreements, signing welfare "reform" (which nearly made me vote third party in 1996 because I was so disgusted with him on this issue--after all, what would happen to all of these poor people if the economy tanked), and refusing to veto that horrendous Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, the consequences of which we are suffering today. Clinton has got a lot to answer for, and he hasn't been made to account for those actions.

But Clinton at least acted like a Democrat on many if not most issues. Nowadays we have absolute fakers like Barack Obama, Cory Booker, Rahm Emanuel, Andrew Cuomo, Paul Vallas, and many, many others who have destroyed the Democratic Party brand and are doing the gangster class's work where the GOP couldn't. We have "Democrats" like Obama touting "public-private partnerships" which translated means pilfering public money for private profit.

I just don't see anybody on the horizon who has the guts to reverse this mess.

The problem with this article lies in the very first sentence. In 2008, a liberal was NOT elected president. Only the blindly stupid or naive thought Obama was any kind of liberal. Those of us who did the research on him knew a whole lot better.

The REAL reason Democrats have sold working people down the river has to do with the idea that they need to be a kinder, more gentle version of the Republicans in order to receive campaign contributions. It is that simple, and that corrupt.

New DP Logo

There is absolutely nothing attractive about this logo; I liked the old one of the donkey kicking up in the air. This one looks like a bullseye target, one for the GOP to blow up and use while playing darts.

This new logo was unveiled by DNC bigwig Tim Kaine, once again proving he is not a good figurehead for the Democratic Party.

I have to admit, however, the logo is a tiny bit apt. The real Democrats, represented in dark blue, are on the outside, just as they are on the outside in real life, while the light blue, the fake Democrats like Obama, are on the inside, just as they are on the inside of the party in real life.

If Democrats Would Stand for Something

instead of mouthing neoliberal horseshit in order to keep getting those corrupt donations by corrupt corporations and the corrupt financial elite, they might have a chance in hell of retaining Congress. Given how absolutely bereft the GOP is of ideas other than continuing the class war against everybody for the benefit of the few and how much the Tea Party batshit brigade has hijacked the Republican Party, it should be a cakewalk for Democrats.

Unfortunately, it isn't. I don't even want to watch the November returns.

As Long as Democrats Act Like Democrats

It used to be the party was the party of ideas rather than reaction. Now it's kumbaya politics and kissing the feet that kick them time and again.

One Year Later,

the Democratic Party, far from being unified and having a coherent agenda, is even more screwed up and divided than ever, despite having the White House and both houses of Congress.

It shouldn't even BE this way at all. This should be LBJ II in getting major domestic legislation done.

But thanks to an appeaser in the White House and some in Congress, this country is screwed, for the GOP is sure to make a comeback from being on the sidelines it so much deserved:

One year into Obama’s presidency, good vibes are hard to find. The left has gone into a disappointed sulk, while many inhabiting FOX Nation seem to have gone stark raving mad.This was largely unavoidable. It’s unlikely that Obama himself ever believed his personal charm could heal the nation’s divisions. Any politician with half his intelligence had to see trouble coming.

So profound was the disorder left by the Bush administration that cleaning things up was bound to take time. By any rational standard, Obama has donea decent job, managing the financial crisis, warding off the specter of worldwide depression and restoring modest growth. Alas, politicians get little credit for disasters that didn’t happen.

Examining a recent ABC News/ Washington Post poll, it appears that the president’s declining popularity is largely due to the public’s sour mood about the economy. Indeed, his numbers track almost precisely those of Ronald Reagan during the first year of his presidency, and basically for the same reasons.

The message is also being muddled, but I contend Obama NEVER had ANY message going into last year's election. Just "hope" and "change" and other little platitudes.

Where the Hell Do Democrats and "Progressives" Go

now that Obama isn't what the media made him out to be but another compromised politician of the Chicago School? I don't just mean the corrupt Chicago school of politics but the Chicago School, as in Friedmanism.

This is only a caution, not a prediction. But without a strong populist progressive movement, based on the economic and social well being of all Americans, we run a serious risk of further disintegration.

The first thing that needs to happen is for there to be a clear distinction between smug, self-serving liberalism contemptuous of so many Americans and a populist progressive movement that seeks unity with those many liberals prefer simply to condemn.

The magnets for this unity are such obvious yet ignored issues as the creation of jobs, the preservation of pensions, decent treatment of endangered homeowners, an end to credit card usury, respect for local decision-making, and, yes, a healthcare plan based on providing financial assistance, not bureaucratic nightmares.

The elitists have always been the bane of the Democratic Party since the McGovern debacle of 1972. Bread-and-butter issues were traditionally those issues which Democrats clearly had the edge, but those have gradually been pushed aside for identity politics and silly damned crap having no bearing on the grand scheme of things (e.g., same-sex marriage).

But it isn't just the elitists and the nutroots who are a reflection of those elitists; it's also the damned neoliberals as well who are a problem and are a hindrance to anything resembling helping working people.

Finally, the cult of personality egged on by the media needs to stop. I don't care WHO the politician is. It could be Barack Obama, it could be Howard Dean, it could be Dennis Kucinich, it could be Hillary Clinton. The idolization of politicians needs to stop. It accomplishes nothing. Voters must look into the actions of a candidate or president, and not be swayed by empty rhetoric.

Democratic Party

While Democrats may or may not support McCain/Palin but should realize they are not in any way compatible with traditional Democratic Party principles, their worst ideas can be held in check if we continue to have a Democratic Congress and increase those numbers.

The down ballot races are critical even as the top race is hopeless as long as we are stuck with Obama.

The PUMA "movement" has little to do with Hillary Clinton, though many if not most of the bloggers supporting it did support Clinton. The movement is a reaction to the outrageously rigged primary/caucus season, which was most likely ratfucked by the GOP via loopholes in state laws/rules which allowed for crossover voting and also by the GOP-leaning media which crowned Obama the nominee MONTHS before Clinton decided to suspend her campaign (under DNC pressure, I might add, just as John Edwards was forced out earlier). The movement is also a reaction to the Obama campaign itself which engaged in the vilest campaign in the history of the Democratic Party presidential contests in painting the Clintons as racists, and with their bloggers using every filthy lie about them to further a candidate they knew ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT AND DIDN'T WANT TO KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT. These are the same vile hypocrites who shit on Joe Lieberman by promoting and running an idiot against him back in the 2006 Connecticut Democratic primary because they called Lieberman (also called LIEberman or "Holy Joe," the latter nickname thinly-veiled anti-Semitism, in my opinion) a Republican for his Iraq War stance and basically forced him out of the party because of their filth. Yet most of these same people backed the Mouth of Montpelier for president in 2004 who was little more than a Rockefeller Republican but had a minor talent at demagoguery and now they back this total fraud of a "liberal" or "progressive" for president with big Wall Street and corporate backing who has the same type of economic philosophy as the people who are already in charge of the government but who could NEVER get away with the stuff Obama would pull if he were elected.

So don't hand me this shit, Amanda, about PUMA being some kind of Republican front. You will NEVER, EVER read ANYWHERE that I back McCain, only that he would be better with a Democratic Congress keeping him in line than Obama with a Democratic Congress who just might pull privatization shit on the public with the party's approval. We cannot afford that.

I was a Democrat LONG before you were born, Amanda, so don't you DARE tell me that because I refuse to back a crook, a liar, a GOP ringer, that I am NOT one.
