Biden did the best tonight. He was presidential. The rest of the group were okay except Sanders, who didn't do well at all. He was put on the defensive by the others tonight and didn't do well.

Biden was good and held his own. He probably won't win the NH primary because NH is in Warren's and Sanders' backyard. There are few if any people in the country who have the knowledge and experience Biden has, and this is why Trump is desperate to get him out. However, Klobuchar was very impressive and would be ideal for Biden's running mate.
The rest I can take them or leave them. Especially Sanders, the ratfucker for the GOP. Yang and Steyer have no business on the stage. Buttigieg is completely outclassed by those who have had had national political experience. I don't know why he ever ran to begin with. He's smart, but he is way too green for prime time.
Along those lines, this quiz is interesting. Although I have decided on Biden since I know it is a foregone conclusion he will be the nominee, according to the quiz, my positions dovetail with Elizabeth Warren's best. I did send money to her for quite a while, but her fibbing about her teaching career kind of soured me on her. Not only that, but I just don't believe she will would win.
My view: This was a better debate because it was a smaller field. Pete Buttigieg got the crap kicked out of him tonight, mostly by Amy Klobuchar, who had her best debate performance so far. Sanders and Biden got into it for a bit, and Sanders got the worst of that exchange. Warren didn't do very well. Yang and Steyer have no business on that stage. No more rich businesspeople trying to buy the White House.
I still believe the final ticket will be Biden/Klobuchar.

My view: Andrew Yang killed his campaign when he tried to buy potential voters. Sanders needs to use a spitoon and cough out the massive phlegm that is caught in his throat. He was awful, as usual. Biden has done well so far. So has Klobuchar, who I think is a possibility as a Biden running mate. Julian Castro just jumped the shark when he attacked Biden. Warren was there, but I didn't remember much of what she said. Harris needs to drop out. Ditto for Beto and Pete B. At least Beto didn't deteriorate into obscenities. Booker, being vegan, is too damned brain addled from his diet to be much good as president.

My thoughts: Biden took this debate. Harris was good until she went into the busing issue, which is an issue that has been DEAD for forty goddamned years. She thought she could nail him on the race card, and it blew up in her face.
She lost the nomination right there and any chance of being Biden's running mate; not that she ever had it. She could never win nationally anyway given the Willie Brown connection.
My ten cents is on Julian Castro as Biden's running mate. Klobuchar is another one to watch.
Sanders is done for all intents and purposes. Too much yelling, too much interrupting. Perhaps the one good thing about this huge field is Sanders gets buried. Gillibrand is done. Yang and Williamson should go home. The rest of the group tonight were mostly interchangeable, with one of them continuing to harp on passing the torch, a totally ageist bunch of crap.
It was a bizarre debate, to say the least. The panelists were clearly playing "gotcha," and Hillary Clinton smacked them a couple of times on those idiotic email and Benghazi questions.
However, it is the replaying of this clip which should end Sanders' candidacy once and for all, not that he had a chance:
Even Republicans as lousy as Cruz and Trump would win against Sanders. The video speaks volumes.

The purpose of the Sanders' and O'Malley's candidacies is to shape the debate and to keep Hillary Clinton focused. O'Malley will probably get a cabinet position in a Clinton presidency.
Barring outright fraud by the GOP if by some chance Jeb gets the nomination, Clinton WILL be the next president of the United States, flaws or no. The GOP doesn't have anybody who can win fairly, with the sole exception of John Kasich, who the rank-and-file will never nominate.
If anything, she is smarter and more prepared than her husband.
I personally would prefer somebody other than a Clinton or other established name in there, but I'll take her depending on who her running mate is.
It looks like I have some problems at my place with the connection to the internet. We are getting a new ADSL chord, which should arrive on Tuesday.
Yes, I have been watching the news about the horrific Paris attacks, which have killed at least 132 people. It has blanketed CNN for the past couple of days, ever since it happened.
I also watched the Democratic debates last night in Iowa. CBS televised the event.
